Overview
HH Global is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regional Controller to oversee the financial operations of our North American region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, managing local regulatory issues and driving process improvements. This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in our Chicago, IL office.
Responsibilities
Oversee the financial results of the region, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow. Ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting in both group and local sets of books. Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to understand budget and forecast variances and period-on-period trends. Manage issues related to local regulations and liaise with local management for resolution. Identify process improvement opportunities and follow through with implementation. Coordinate local audits and ensure timely closure by providing necessary deliverables from internal parties. Maintain clear documentation in accordance with company standards and local requirements. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making. Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor and manage regional financial risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place. Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence and integration processes for the region. Knowledge, Skills + Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred 7-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a multinational organization Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong communication and interpersonal skills Company Benefits
