Design and conduct experimental research and investigations to explore and support scientific discovery and/or development. Record, interpret, and analyze study data. Develop research documentation such as protocols, reports, reviews, publications, manuscripts, and/or summaries. Disseminate research findings to internal and external audiences. Ensure quality standards and scientific integrity in research activities. Remain knowledgeable of relevant scientific and technical developments. Contributes innovative solutions that advance the organization’s strategy and extend knowledge in a given field. Research Scientist, IV Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience. This is an Advanced-Level position in the General Professional track. Research Scientist, V Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 10 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 8 years of directly related work experience. This is an Expert-Level position in the General Professional track. Minimum Qualifications

EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :

1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience). Preferences
