Develop, characterize and validate high voltage power semiconductors for traction inverter applications

Measure, analyze data including switching waveforms, losses and thermal performance

Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, PCBA, reliability, manufacturing and firmware engineering teams to optimize inverter switching, loss, reliability and thermal behavior

Design, implement, and validate solutions for EMC, reliability, and manufacturing

Solve electronics packaging issues including thermal management, electrical isolation, interconnection design, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI), etc.

Start to finish ownership of hardware - from specification to design, prototype, reliability testing and high-volume manufacturing

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree inElectricalEngineering, or equivalentexperience

3+ year's experience with high-voltage power semiconductors, including wide bandgap devices (IGBTs, SiC-MOSFETs, etc.), in high-power (>50 kW) and high-voltage (>300 V) applications

Experience with double-pulse testing and thermal characterization, as well as familiarity with gate drive and protection circuit design

Specification of power semiconductor devices, Gate Drivers, Capacitors, Inductors and successful deployment of these components in power modules design

Knowledge of power conversion topologies, power device magnetics and control loop design. Experience with scripting for data processing and test automation, such as MATLAB, Python or LabView

Experience with SPICE and circuit simulation, FEA parasitic modeling and PCB design and assembly

Knowledge of automotive environmental, reliability, and safety requirements
