Spine Search is seeking an experienced physical therapist to join an orthopedic group in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will specialize in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and orthopedic physical therapy, working closely with orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and other rehab professionals to optimize recovery and functional outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical conditions, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.
Design and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on restoring mobility, strength, and function.
Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, and modalities.
Communicate regularly with orthopedic providers to coordinate care and provide progress updates.
Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and postoperative care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with NJ regulations and organizational protocols.
Supervise and mentor PTAs or rehabilitation aides when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. Licensure:
Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license (or eligible). Certifications:
BLS certification required; orthopedic specialty certification (OCS) preferred but not required. Experience:
Preferred 13 years in an orthopedic or outpatient setting (new grads with strong ortho clinical rotations encouraged to apply). Strong knowledge of post-surgical rehab protocols, sports injuries, and joint replacement rehab. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
