Overview
Director, Supply Chain Consulting - Hybrid – Extensive Travel
Our clients are located across the USA and onsite work is required.
What You’ll Do
Lead high-impact supply chain transformation projects for manufacturing and distribution clients.
Deliver hands-on analysis, innovative solutions, and sustainable implementations across planning, sourcing, production, inventory, and distribution.
Mentor teams, own client relationships, and drive measurable results.
Assess current operations through data analysis, interviews, and site visits.
Identify risks, opportunities, and performance gaps; build metrics and future-state models.
Design and implement tools, processes, and systems (ERP/MRP, WMS, forecasting, etc.).
Develop strategies for cost savings, inventory reduction, and operational efficiency.
Present compelling recommendations to C-suite and frontline teams.
Manage multiple workstreams, resources, and client deliverables under tight timelines.
Mentor junior team members and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Required Experience
10+ years in management consulting, manufacturing, or supply chain leadership.
Proven expertise in:
Supply Chain Planning (demand forecasting, S&OP, consensus building)
ERP/MRP remediation, BOMs, master data, shop floor control
Sourcing & Capital Allocation (make/buy, spend analysis, supplier rationalization)
Production (MPS, capacity planning, Lean/Six Sigma, layout optimization)
Inventory & Distribution (WMS, logistics networks, 3PL/4PL, cycle counting)
Advanced analytical skills (statistical tools, AI/ML applications)
Process mapping (Visio or similar) and change management
Strong client-facing communication and storytelling.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
Certifications such as PMP, CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma, or Lean are a plus.
APICS, Anylogistix, Alteryx experience is a plus.
