Overview
Job Opportunities at Texas State University — Nontenure Faculty Pool for the Department of Engineering Technology. The Department seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in per course capacity. Temporary/nontenured per course faculty are appointed to teach up to two courses per semester. Appointments depend on student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment depends on satisfactory annual performance evaluations, continuity of funding, and departmental need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses and/or online, depending on department needs. This posting is not a guarantee that a need currently exists; applicants in the pool may be considered as needs arise.
Responsibilities Teach up to two courses per semester in per course capacity. Assignments and teaching locations may include San Marcos, Round Rock, and online formats, based on departmental needs and student demand.
Required Qualifications Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.
Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience is preferred.
