Physician - Hematologist Oncologist/General Focus - Grand Rapids, MI. The Cancer Care Service Line at Corewell Health seeks Hematologist Oncologists (solid tumor) to join our growing team of employed providers. Corewell Health’s Cancer Center is a collaboration of Corewell Health’s network of hospitals, Corewell Health West Michigan and community providers. Our patients and their families benefit by innovative, cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art programs and services. We specialize in treating the most complex types of cancers and each treatment plan is as unique as the patient who receives it. Based out of Grand Rapids, with the opportunity to expand your practice across Corewell Health in West Michigan, we invite you to explore the most comprehensive and robust cancer program in West Michigan. This includes more than 150 highly qualified, board-certified physicians representing more than 17 oncology specialties. Enjoy working with robust multispecialty teams and tumor boards with integrated staff. Corewell Health also has a comprehensive radiology program with port placement. Corewell Health Cancer Program Offers Multispecialty Teams Screening & Prevention Supportive, Integrative & Palliative Care Diagnostic & Treatment Services & Clinical Trials 11 Comprehensive Programs Specialized Radiation Oncologists Breast Diagnostic Center Nurse Navigation, Palliative Care Services, Psychiatric Oncology, Cancer Rehab Corewell Health is currently working toward NCI designation Corewell Health is scheduled to launch a Hematology Oncology fellowship training program in 2026 Responsibilities
Provide hematology-oncology patient care with a general focus; participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and multispecialty teams. Collaborate with Corewell Health’s oncology program across West Michigan and contribute to program growth and quality initiatives. Engage in clinical trials and scholarly activity; opportunities for sub-specialization (head & neck, sarcoma, GU, neuro-oncology, and others) are available. Academic appointment at Michigan State University available commensurate with experience. Qualifications
Board eligible/board certified in Hematology-Oncology. Experience with clinical trials is a plus. Opportunity for sub-specialization as noted above. Educational requirements: Doctorate (MD or DO). Licensure: Michigan physician licensure upon hire (MD or DO). DEA registration; BLS and ACLS as specified by specialty. Location & Schedule
