Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and implementation of transportation and water resources projects.
Perform tasks including quantity calculations, design computations including geometric design of transportation infrastructure, traffic signal/lighting design, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis including drainage design, pipe sizing, inlet spacing, culvert design, permitting, etc.
Prepare design plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and utility regulatory agencies.
Conduct field inspections to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
Prepare construction reports and project documentation.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university. Experience: 4-10 years of experience in Transportation or Water Resources Engineering (Stormwater/Drainage). Licensure: P.E. license or planned achievement of P.E. license in Indiana is highly desired. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design software. Knowledge: Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and standards, particularly those related to transportation and stormwater management.
