Our client is seeking a Paralegal experienced in commercial real estate matters to assist their General Counsel.
Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive legal support for all commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, and leasing. Draft, review, and manage key transactional documents such as SNDAs, estoppels, confidentiality agreements, organizational documents, resolutions, and consents. Coordinate and perform due diligence reviews, including title, survey, zoning, and environmental reports. Review and summarize loan documents, leases, and purchase and sale agreements to assist counsel and internal stakeholders. Prepare and maintain closing checklists, coordinate closing logistics, and assemble post-closing binders and documentation. Manage entity formation and governance matters, including maintaining minute books, resolutions, and corporate filings. Liaise with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, and internal business teams to facilitate smooth transaction processes. Ensure compliance with corporate and legal requirements, including state and local filing obligations. Assist with notarizations, filings, and other administrative legal duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications: 7+ years’ experience in commercial real estate, either within a law firm or in-house legal department of a large organization, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently. Active New Jersey Notary Public license, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one shortly after hire. Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of legal terminology, research methods, and processes related to real estate transactions and general legal principles. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
