Job Title: Storage Admin / Linux Admin Contract Period: 1 year Work location: Ridgefield Park, NJ Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of experience in enterprise storage engineering or infrastructure management within large-scale data center environments. Proven experience leading or contributing to major storage infrastructure projects and migrations. Technical Skills
Expert-level knowledge of enterprise storage technologies such as Dell EMC (PowerMax, Unity, Isilon), NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, or HPE 3PAR/Nimble. Deep understanding of SAN (Brocade/Cisco FC), NAS, and object storage architectures. Experience with cloud storage integration (AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Platform Storage). Strong background in data protection, replication, and disaster recovery technologies. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible. Experience managing storage for virtualized environments (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V). Familiarity with monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, Grafana, Dell Unisphere, NetApp Active IQ, etc.). Knowledge of ITIL processes, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management. Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle critical incidents under pressure. Strong communication and documentation abilities, including the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences. Leadership and mentoring experience within technical teams. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail. Preferred Certifications
Dell EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), or equivalent vendor certifications. VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification. ITIL Foundation or higher-level certification. Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) is a plus. Seniority level
