Overview
The Senior Apparel Graphic & Print Designer will drive artwork execution and design across multiple apparel and sleepwear categories as well as special projects. This role will be instrumental in creating seasonal graphic and print artwork, ensuring innovation and brand alignment from concept through production. The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized and has a positive communication style that supports productive collaboration within team and cross-functional channels.
Responsibilities
Create seasonal graphic and artwork direction through highly creative and inspiring research and concepts.
Partner with Senior Designers and VP Of Design to realize projects from kick-off through production hand-off, ensuring alignment with brand vision and design standards.
Create original print and graphic artwork, including repeats, color separations and formatting based on factory requirements.
Review, comment and manage strike-off submits for all graphic and print artwork from first strike off to final approval.
Manage workflow to in-house production artist and partner to ensure desired execution of art technical files and accurate information.
Manage and organize artwork library and assets in partnership with in-house production artist.
Refine and improve the artwork creation process through new approaches and processes.
Develop and maintain digital and physical presentation boards for design reviews, ensuring work is current and accurate.
Work proactively against development calendars to stay ahead of deadlines and key milestones.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships through communication and problem-solving.
Support designers as needed to execute projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in Graphic/Print Design within the apparel industry, with a proven and relevant portfolio
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator and Photoshop
Ability to create vector-based and hand-drawn artwork, with versatility to adapt to multiple brand aesthetics
Strong illustration skills and typography
Solid working knowledge of color separation, technical details and product development processes
Strong understanding of graphic techniques, screen printing, embroidery, appliqué, and specialty finishes
Highly developed taste level with exceptional color sensibility
Strong eye for color standards and the ability to review, comment and approve both color and artwork submits
Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and adept at time management with strict calendar adherence
Portfolio work that reflects strong design sensibility, creative innovation, and relevance to the apparel and sleepwear market
Positive attitude, proactive energy, and a collaborative spirit
Job Details This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in our Irvine, CA office.
Pay rate:
$110,000/yr - $119,000/yr
