Payroll Accountant – Houston, TX (On-Site) Full-Time | Up to $110K Base + Guaranteed Bonus | High-Growth Environment A respected organization based in Houston, TX is actively seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage and execute all aspects of in-house payroll operations. This is a full-time, on‑site role offering a competitive salary (up to $95K) and a guaranteed annual bonus of 10%, with potential for significantly higher performance‑based incentives. This opportunity is ideal for a detail‑driven accounting professional with deep expertise in payroll processing, tax compliance, and payroll‑related journal entries. The role is being carved out from a broader HR function to allow for dedicated focus on payroll accuracy and financial integrity. Key Responsibilities

Process accurate and timely semi‑monthly payroll for a growing U.S. workforce (projected to reach 200 employees by end of 2025). Manage all payroll‑related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts with precision. Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including timely filing of 941s, 940s, and other required reports. Reconcile timekeeping data and validate wage calculations. Handle wage garnishments, deductions, and tax withholdings in accordance with legal requirements. Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and documentation. Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure payroll data aligns with financial reporting. Shadow and reconcile U.S. expat payrolls and address tax true‑ups as needed. Support year‑end payroll reporting and filings. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing

and payroll accounting. Proven experience with multi‑state payroll and tax compliance. Familiarity with expat payroll and foreign exchange considerations is a plus. Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll/accounting systems (Deltek experience preferred). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills. Why This Role?
