Overview Maintenance Associate at Sam’s Club – Port Charlotte, FL. You’ll help shape a member’s shopping experience by giving them a positive first and last impression. You are responsible for keeping the parking lot clean, restrooms tidy, and floors well maintained. This role requires being on your feet and staying active, with a positive attitude to ensure a great member experience from start to finish.

Base pay range $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

What you’ll do Maintains safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines. This includes conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following company standards, and reporting unsafe situations to Management.

Cleans all areas of the facility (floors, windows, restrooms, trash receptacles) while following company procedures and using approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment.

Ensures a safe and clean environment for Members and Associates by performing maintenance as necessary, responding to spills, operating floor scrubbers, and disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash per the Environmental Sustainability Program.

Maintains appropriate levels of company-approved chemicals and supplies, rotates and stores chemicals properly, and places orders to replenish supplies when low.

Supports a great first and last impression for customers and maintains a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe and clean environment for members and associates through maintenance and timely response to issues.

Operate equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers) and manage waste disposal in line with Company policies.

Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper storage and rotation of chemicals.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
