Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
With moderate supervision, provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning Plant Heating & Refrigeration equipment.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Refrigeration & plant utilities.
Maintain a clean work area and perform other related duties as assigned.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as indicated by the maintenance supervisor using CMMS software Mpulse.
Monitor and repair steam boilers, fire system, wastewater, air compressors, ammonia system, plant plumbing, electrical and hot water systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures to resolve issues with facility equipment (compressors, pumps, evaporators, condensers, fans, etc.).
Plan necessary repairs by ordering parts or scheduling PM and repairs with outside contractors.
Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirements
Must have own toolbox & tools. (toolbox will be kept in maintenance shop). 2+ years hands-on experience is a plus.
Trade school with HVAC-R / Wastewater / steam boilers / compressed air / Electrical or Fire system is accepted.
Ammonia operator 1 & 2 certification (or ability to obtain certification).
Experience in repairing refrigeration systems, welding. Ability to read diagrams, PLC, mechanical inspection & 3 phase electrical is a plus.
Indoor & outdoor work, walking, climbing, lifting for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong knowledge of facility equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs.
Knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, plumbing, refrigeration & welding is preferred.
Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance procedures.
Able to demonstrate initiative and follow through on day-to-day responsibilities.
Must be able to read, write and speak English; Spanish speaking is a plus.

5am-2:30pm (Monday-Saturday)
8-12-hour shifts, as needed
