Overview
Construction Manager - Land Port of Entry (LPOE) in Dunseith, North Dakota. This position supports the modernization of a Land Port of Entry project and collaborates closely with the GSA team through all project phases. Relocation to Dunseith, ND is required for this role.
Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
What you’ll do
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, including preparing written reports, correspondence, and briefing clients and management personnel.
Interpret construction contract drawings and specifications and FAR/GSAR clauses; understand fundamental construction contract law.
Understand construction management procedures and project scheduling software (e.g., Prolog Manager, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Author and create written reports and other documentation.
Manage large building construction projects using CPM schedules; possess knowledge of Kahua.
Conduct inspections to resolve problems on construction projects and briefing Government personnel.
Knowledge of construction practices and techniques, including proper installation methods of construction materials; inspect materials, workmanship, and installation of systems.
Understand scheduling, budgeting, materials, methods, and industry design standards.
In-depth knowledge of LEED and SITES requirements to help the Gateway LPOE Project achieve LEED Gold and SITES certification.
Be responsive to all communications from the GSA project team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred
Minimum 10 years of construction management experience
Experience managing projects consisting of major modernization or new construction of an LPOE, campus, or facility area, including canopies, administration buildings, holding cells, offices, parking, major utility relocations, and road and paving site work. Project must be greater than $50 million.
Strong working knowledge of building systems/components, contract management, project delivery methods, and team building
GSA experience is highly desirable
