Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain detailed 3D electrical models using software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Develop layouts for power, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, and low-voltage systems.
Generate accurate 2D drawings, sections, schematics, and as-built documentation from BIM models.
Collaborate with architects, structural, and MEP trades to identify and resolve spatial conflicts using clash detection tools.
Participate in coordination meetings to review model progress and resolve design or constructability issues.
Incorporate feedback from engineers, project managers, and field teams to maintain up-to-date and constructible models.
Quality Control & Standards
Adhere to company BIM execution plans, standards, and project-specific modeling guidelines.
Conduct quality checks to ensure model accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications and codes.
Maintain organized model files and documentation in accordance with company workflows.
Technical Support & Documentation
Produce shop drawings, sleeve layouts, and prefabrication drawings for installation teams.
Support field coordination by generating layout drawings, detailed installation views, and updated as-builts.
Assist in developing and maintaining standard detail libraries and BIM content families for electrical components.
Project & Data Management
Track model versions, revisions, and document control for assigned projects.
Work closely with BIM coordinators and project engineers to align model data with scheduling, procurement, and estimating needs.
Support integration of BIM data into project management systems for improved project delivery and lifecycle tracking.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 (or equivalent platforms).
Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction documentation.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.
