Key Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical VDC team in developing coordinated 3D models for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. Oversee clash detection and resolution using Navisworks or similar tools. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure constructible and accurate models. Develop and enforce VDC standards, workflows, and best practices. Manage the production of shop drawings, spool drawings, and layout files for field installation and prefabrication. Train and mentor junior VDC staff and modelers. Participate in preconstruction planning, design reviews, and coordination meetings. Support field teams with layout, installation, and fabrication guidance. Maintain documentation and version control of models throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in mechanical construction and VDC/BIM coordination. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam; experience with Trimble or similar layout tools is a plus. Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping. Experience managing VDC teams or leading coordination efforts on large‑scale projects. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications. Familiarity with prefabrication workflows and field installation processes.
