1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants The Commercial Lender works to acquire, grow, and retain commercial relationships. This individual will focus on commercial real estate lending, 1-4 family rentals, construction and remodel loans, bridge loans, building strong relationships with business clients, and producing new business growth in accordance with Valor Bank’s goals. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: This list includes the current primary responsibilities of this position. It is not intended to be all-inclusive and is subject to change, as needed. Establish and negotiate the terms under which loans of all sizes and types will be extended including; cost, risk, and profitability, determining the method, schedule, and collateral requirements. Review financial statements, projections, models, and all other relevant financial and non-financial data to present to Loan Committee. Monitor loan repayment activities, collection of past due accounts, credit and collateral deficiencies. Adhere to loan policies and procedures with complete documented files to ensure satisfactory reviews from internal and external audits. Actively promote other Valor Bank products, including deposit accounts to build a strong banking relationship. Set and achieve individual goals and contribute in a collaborative environment to ensure Bank goals are being met. Ensure compliance with all banking laws, regulations, policies, and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training. Maintain a full understanding of the Bank’s Lending Policy. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Expectations: Participate in weekly Loan Committee meetings. Understand and communicate the Bank’s story, values, Giving Vision, and the role Valor Bank serves in the community. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree. 5 years of experience in Consumer and Commercial Lending. Possess the discernment needed to determine credit worthiness and have the ability to interpret financials skillfully. Seniority level
