Overview
Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) is seeking a proven leader to serve as the Mental Health Practitioner within our Crisis Residential Team in St. Cloud. Our Crisis Residential Mental Health Practitioners help our clients by providing support toward their recovery goals in a supportive team with 24-hour mental health professional access.
What is Crisis Residential? Crisis Residential is a short-term, safe place for clients to stay as they work through a mental health crisis. Staff provides 24/7 monitoring to oversee safety and nursing assistance for medication administration, with an average stay of 3 to 5 days. Group and individual support, education, and service referrals help clients manage their mental health symptoms to return to living safely in their home or transition to another supportive environment. Crisis Residential serves individuals from Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, and Wright counties.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide residential services under the direction of the Mental Health Professional.
Answer crisis line to assist clients, law enforcement, or other community agencies with acute mental health crisis.
Provide support to clients in a mental health crisis in a residential setting.
Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and families who request services from residential services; provide resources, reassurance, and empathy.
Requirements What You’ll Need
Qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP).
4,000 hours working with individuals with mental health, developmental disabilities, or chemical dependency diagnoses (part-time over several years or 2 years full-time).
Or holds a master’s degree or another graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.
Or holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields with a practicum or internship that includes direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.
Clear DHS background study.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Willingness to become medication certified.

Experience with motivational interviewing, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention is ideal.
Compensation
Mental Health Practitioner: $20.50 - $23.00
Mental Health Practitioner + Bachelor’s Degree: $22.50 - $25.00
Mental Health Practitioner + Master’s Degree: $24.50 - $27.00
(Commensurate with experience)
Shift Differential
Monday - Friday 6:30 pm to 6:30 am: $2 per hour
Saturday & Sunday 6:30 am to 6:30 pm: $3 per hour
Saturday & Sunday 6:30 pm to 6:30 am: $4 per hour
Schedule Full-time overnight shifts with every other weekend rotation.
