Job Description Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy GIS Technician to support a key client in managing their Geographic Information System (GIS) data. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in GIS and data collection who enjoys working with spatial data.
As a GIS Technician, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive desktop reviews of spatial data, verifying asset information, and ensuring data accuracy within the client’s GIS platform. You will also be tasked with capturing and uploading photographic documentation of physical assets to support field validation and system updates.
Required Skills & Experience
2–3 years of experience
in GIS data collection, editing, and analysis.
Proficiency with
ArcGIS
software suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on data-intensive tasks.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and schematics.
Preferred
Associate’s degree
in Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
