At Walmart, the Vision Center Manager NL 1 role includes leadership of Vision Center operations, customer service, community outreach, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Responsibilities

Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs. Model, enforce, and provide direction to Associates on Customer/Member service approaches and techniques to resolve Customer/Member needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines and standards. Oversee implementation of community outreach programs and encourage Associates to participate as good members of the community. Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, and monitoring safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews. Develop and implement action plans to improve performance; provide direction and guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives; direct Vision Center Associates in ensuring confidentiality of information and records. Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates in the Vision Center by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties; promote a sense of belonging in the workplace. Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products based on needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment. Coordinate and oversee related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and promoting accountability and continuous improvement. Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications : Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules. Preferred Qualifications
