Printpack
Printpack Prescott Valley has an immediate opening for a Material Handler on 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm. The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth facility operations and ensuring materials are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operatevarious typesof material handling equipment, primarily forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), safely and efficiently
Perform daily safety inspections of lift equipment and complete required documentation
Load and unload trucks according to shipping and receiving schedules
Store and retrieve pallets within the plant, documenting inventory locations using handheld electronic devices
Stage materials at equipment locations according to production schedules
Move and manage Work-in-Process (WIP) pallets between machine locations and rack storage
Maintain organized storage areas and implement proper rack numbering systems
Perform inventory cycle counts andmaintainaccuraterecords
Complete all required safety documentation, checklists, and logs
Maintain cleanliness standards through 5S practices, including removal of empty pallets and waste management
Work in a safe manner.
Participate actively in Printpack'sContinuous ImprovementProgram
Other duties as assigned
Education& Experience: Experience in manufacturingor warehousingenvironmenta plus Required Skills: Valid forklift certification(or ability to obtain forklift certification)
Basic computer literacy
Ability to read and understand production schedules
Mathematical skills for inventory counting
Knowledge of warehouse management systems
Understanding of safety protocols
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Basic problem-solving skills
Team-oriented mindset
Time management abilities
Additional Requirements: Mustbe 18 years of age
