Quality Assurance Engineer

plays a critical role in ensuring product compliance and internal conformance to HSM quality requirements. This role will deploy standardized quality processes across the site, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and help transition the organization from a reactive to a proactive quality approach.

What You Will Do

Champion quality initiatives across production areas to promote a proactive quality philosophy.

Foster a culture of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery-Schedules.

Ensure compliance with plant safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Use Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving tools to identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Lead Kaizen initiatives to improve planning, material flow, and operational performance.

Manage quality and production metrics, document control, and QMS training deployment.

Support PPAP/FAI activities, review drawings/CAD files, and implement poka-yoke methods.

Lead scrap reduction initiatives and participate in audits (internal, external, customer).

Participate in MRB processes and cross-functional continuous improvement teams.

Serve as a key contact for quality issues in the manufacturing plant.

Champion APQP across new development programs and existing production.

Improve process control schemes, PFMEAs, and work instructions across plants.

Manage supplier quality issues, cost recovery, and performance improvement initiatives.

Ensure plant alignment with corporate quality management procedures and reporting metrics.

Define and implement supplier inspection criteria and frequencies.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering required; ASQ certification preferred (CQE, CSSBB, CSSGB, CQA).

1-3 years of Quality Assurance experience, preferably in automotive/IATF 16949 environments.

Advanced skills in MS Office, Access, Excel, and Smartsheet.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 6S, AIAG core tools, and SPC software (Minitab) is highly valued.

Experience in high-tempo production environments.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

Able to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

Skilled in presenting information and resolving business/personnel issues.

Adaptable to changing priorities to achieve organizational objectives.
