Overview

EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Facility Manager for our facility in Dallas, TX. Mountain Creek Energy Center, located just outside of Dallas, TX, is recruiting for a facility manager for a three (3) block, conventional steam generating station with a capacity of 808 MW. The plant consists of (1) B&W gas fired boiler and (1) Riley gas fired boiler and (2) 115 MW GE steam turbines, (1) Combustion Engineering/GE gas fired boiler and (1) 600 MW GE steam turbines and all associated balance of plant equipment. The position reports directly to the Regional Operations Director for EthosEnergy and serves as the primary interface to the owner’s representative of the facility. Responsibilities

Provide management direction and leadership to ensure the facility is operated in a safe, reliable, and economical manner consistent with the site O&M agreement, contracts, permits, and applicable rules and regulations. Ensure the facility is operated in a safe manner and that a safe work environment is provided and maintained to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Oversee all environmental reporting and testing activities and ensure required environmental programs are properly implemented and that the facility maintains full compliance with all permits. Oversee all NERC and regulatory reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments. Implement programs and activities that promote a productive work environment, goal achievement, and morale. Optimize plant performance through appropriate utilization of manpower, equipment, supplies, and external support. Recruit, supervise, and manage facility staff to meet the facility and company goals; provide coaching, training, and development opportunities, including scheduling of training programs covering operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory areas. Prepare the annual budget and facility operating plan; manage purchasing, inventory, cost control, and cost management. Prepare monthly reports detailing significant plant activities and updates on the facility operating plan, including budget variance reporting. Communicate effectively with site staff, management, facility owner, vendors, and outside agencies; provide weekly updates to EthosEnergy on significant issues and events. Engage with the owner to understand needs and expectations and demonstrate effective management to meet or exceed them. Enforce and ensure compliance with the operations and maintenance agreement. Prepare and submit to the facility owner, in a timely manner, all reports and information required under the terms of the O&M contract. Provide recommendations to the owner on plant upgrades and enhancements to improve reliability, performance, safety, or environmental readiness, including a cost-benefit analysis. Oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance and outage activities; provide outage reports to the owner summarizing significant events of the outage. Required Skills / Knowledge

Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement. Thorough understanding of power plant operations, including the operations & maintenance functions. Working knowledge of chemistry as it relates to plant operations, environmental and water treatment programs, and statutory regulations. Understanding of budgets, bid proposals, contract evaluation, basic accounting principles, plant economics, and power pool operations. Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic drawings, and technical manuals. Ability to solve practical problems, clearly communicate tasks and needs, and train other personnel. Ability to analyze and interpret data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations. Ability to manage and motivate up to 25 subordinates. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Competent computer skills with experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project. Past experience operating or maintaining large frame gas turbines is an asset. Experience

Experience in startup or operations of a conventional power station. A substantial number of years of relevant experience, with a significant portion in a management position. Education Requirements

A four-year degree or commensurate experience is required. Physical Requirements
