Experienced or Senior Aerospace Systems Safety and Airworthiness Engineer
The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer to join the Commercial Design Safety Core team within Enterprise Safety in Everett, WA. The role supports the safety engineering function across the company and develops enduring product safety design processes, practices, and solutions to assure safety, quality, integrity, and mission success of our products and services.
Overview This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Everett, WA.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand challenges related to performing safety analysis activities consistent with industry standards (e.g., ARP4754, ARP4761).
Develop process guidance, training content, best-practice documentation, or model-based capabilities specific to system safety and mission assurance.
Contribute to the Safety Engineering College by developing training material on product safety fundamentals including FHAs, FTAs, FMEAs, Development Assurance, software safety, and tool usage.
Investigate model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools to digitally connect, store, and integrate critical safety deliverables (Functional Hazards Assessments, Fault Trees, Cascading Effects, and advanced safety analyses).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience)
Experience in Systems Safety and/or Systems Engineering disciplines.
Experience communicating verbally and in writing to varied audiences.
Experience with model-based engineering (MBE/MBSE/MBSA) including tool application or development.
Experience applying industry standards (ARP4754, ARP4761A).
Systems design/analysis/integration experience; familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Leadership of cross-functional teams and complex projects; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect; knowledge of SysML/UAF.

Senior (Level 4): $128,350 - $173,650
