School Age Program Leader - Elwell-Letford We are hiring for school-aged programs. The YMCA's Youth Programs are growing fast, and we are seeking outstanding staff to support our expanding school-age offerings and grow into leadership roles. We are looking for candidates who enjoy creative activities, helping kids with homework, and engaging them in games, science projects, and arts and crafts while teaching core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. Help us make a positive difference in the lives of the youth we serve each day. Shifts and Hours

Program hours are mornings 6:45am–8:00am (9:00am on Wednesdays) and/or 2:30–6:00pm, Monday–Friday, with additional hours available on days when school is out for full-day camp. We prefer staff to be available at least 3 consistent days per week, but substitutes are also welcome. You can choose to work just before school, just after school, or a combination. Compensation

Salary range $16.00–$18.00/hour based on experience, availability, and state licensing guidelines. This position is part time, year-round with opportunities for full time for the summer season. In addition, there is a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English). How to Apply

Work as part of the site team to ensure a safe and engaging environment for school-age participants, implementing core values, supervising gym and group games, and facilitating arts and crafts. Independently lead and supervise children in small and large group activities. Adhere to program standards including safety and cleanliness. Attend staff meetings and trainings. Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies. Maintain open, friendly, professional relationships with staff, parents, participants and community members. Maintain confidentiality of YMCA issues, incidents and records. Be punctual for all shifts and flexible to accommodate schedule changes, including full days when needed. Provide leadership and support to Program Aides and Volunteers. Practice positive guidance and preventative discipline Techniques in line with YMCA policies and expectations. Perform other duties as assigned. Age 18 years or older. Qualifications

Provide documentation of 480 hours of experience working directly with school-age children (e.g., Sunday school, Scouts, sports, or babysitting). Become certified or provide documentation of current CPR and First Aid certification (can be completed through the YMCA). Work well on a team, communicate effectively with youth, parents and colleagues, and be committed to high-quality programming.
