Overview
We are looking for an
NPI Engineer
to oversee the introduction of new products from development to production for advanced embedded systems. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing schedules, ensuring design-for-manufacturing principles, and tracking milestones to deliver products that meet quality, performance, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge in embedded systems or hardware/software development with strong project management and communication skills to ensure seamless product launches. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage
new product introduction (NPI) projects , ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Collaborate with hardware, software, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams to plan and execute product launch activities. Review design documents, test plans, and manufacturing requirements to ensure readiness for production. Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, risks, and dependencies. Facilitate cross-functional meetings, design reviews, and gate reviews. Identify potential production or integration issues early and coordinate mitigation plans. Support production ramp-up, including prototype build, pilot runs, and production validation. Maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk registers, and post-launch lessons learned. Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and quality standards. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. 4+ years of experience in
NPI, product launch, or project management
in embedded systems or electronics. Strong understanding of
hardware and software development lifecycle . Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Excellent
project management skills : planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting. Familiarity with product documentation standards, quality assurance, and test planning. Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, or similar). Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred / Nice-to-Have
PMP or other project management certification. Experience with
embedded hardware and software integration . Knowledge of
manufacturing processes, DFM/DFT principles , and production validation. Experience in regulated or security-conscious industries (defence, aerospace, telecommunications). Familiarity with NPI metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement practices. Seniority level
