Overview
The staff accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves managing general ledger entries, assisting with audits, and supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes. Key Responsibilities
Maintain General Ledger records and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles. Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Conduct account reconciliations by reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including overseeing billing processes, vendor payments, and timely collection of receivables. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and legal standards. Support month-end and year-end close by participating in closing processes and performing related analysis. Qualifications
A good attitude and desire to learn An associate's degree or commensurate experience Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office High attention to detail Strong organizational abilities Strong communication skills Salary and Benefits
