Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized 3PL Claims Specialist who will investigate, evaluate, and resolve freight-related claims and ensure accuracy and timely settlements with carriers. Key duties include managing claim documentation, coordinating with the logistics department, accounting, and carriers, and recovering financial losses. Job Duties
Claim Processing:
Investigate, manage and track freight claims, which can include damages, shortage, temperature issues, loss, etc.
Claim Management:
Manage the entire claims process from intake to resolution Gather documents like PODs, BOLs, invoices, and photos to support claims.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Communicate with carriers, customers, and our internal team to resolve issues
Financial Accuracy:
Ensure the accuracy of customer data / claim filing and protect the company’s financial interests
Negotiation:
Review carrier responses and negotiate settlements with carriers to recover losses or resolve billing discrepancies
Data and reporting:
Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, or anomalies, and generate reports for management
Qualifications And Skills
Experience in claims management. Logistics, transportation or related role within a 3PL environment is preferred Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills are critical Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines Proficiency in logistics software and understanding of supply chain management systems, along with Excel Seniority level
