The club hosts approximately 17,000 rounds annually and features a strong junior golf program supported by a highly engaged membership base, many of whom reside in New York City and Florida. Position Summary
The First Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in the daily operation of the golf program, ensuring members and guests receive a first-class experience on and off the course. This individual will assist in all facets of golf operations including tournament management, merchandising, instruction, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate is a personable, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-service environment and leads by example. Primary Responsibilities
Deliver an exceptional golf experience for members and guests through attentive service and operational excellence. Manage and execute all tournament operations using Golf Genius software. Assist with daily opening and closing of the golf shop and overall facility management. Support merchandising functions including special orders, inventory management, and receiving of product. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing golf shop that reflects the standards of a premier private club. Provide instruction, coaching, and playing opportunities for members and juniors. Maintain high visibility throughout the club to promote engagement and member satisfaction. Serve as a mentor and role model for the professional staff, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Qualifications
PGA Member or Associate in good standing. Strong working knowledge of the game of golf, rules, and golf operations management. Proficient in Golf Genius, USGA GHIN System, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and ClubEssential POS software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for service and member interaction. Prior experience at a high-end private club preferred. Season
