Brunel
Brunel is seeking an experienced Geomodeler to join our client\'s subsurface team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, updating, and interpreting 3D geological models to support exploration, development, and reservoir management projects. You will collaborate closely with geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers to deliver integrated geoscience interpretations and ensure data integrity throughout the modeling workflow.
Responsibilities
We are seeking dynamic, creative and resourceful Geomodeling candidates to work on challenging reservoir characterization & modelling projects in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists, petro physicists and reservoir engineers.
Candidate will conduct applied reservoir modelling work to support field development planning, mature field opportunity generation, carbon capture & storage, regulatory requirements and strategic projects.
Contribute to existing model updates, developing/maintaining workflows, volumetric and calibration to dynamic data.
Support business units that require models to screen opportunities, run scenarios and quantify uncertainty.
Support business units to manage country-specific regulatory requirements that have a significant modelling components.
Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in Earth Science, Physical Science, Geology or related field.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial experience in integrated reservoir modelling in support of upstream oil and gas operations.
Expert level Petrel user, experience with Petrel workflows and plugins.
Proficiency with English and strong communication skills.
Additional Qualifications / Experience
Strong computational and analytical skills.
Strong background in one or more geoscience skills (production/development geology, geophysics, stratigraphy).
Knowledge of reservoir simulation/Eclipse or other modelling software would be an added advantage.
