• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500-$2560
Registered Nurse Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active NYS Registered Nurse license or eligibility (New York nursing jobs)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical or operating room RN experience preferred
• Successful completion and passing grade on final exam required for employment as an OR RN
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond appropriately
• Proficient in clinical equipment and aseptic techniques in an OR/ASU setting
• Demonstrated ability to identify and address safety issues for self and patients
• Ability to perform well under pressure and utilize creative problem-solving skills
• Preceptorship, charge nurse, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
Operating Room RN Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Operating Room as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Assess and address patient needs, including clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Implement and follow safety protocols, including safe patient handling and movement
• Operate and maintain clinical equipment, ensuring a sterile and safe environment
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and take appropriate action as needed
• Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing and delegating nursing tasks
• Assume charge nurse duties as required
• Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations
• Maintain strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
