The Department of Engineering Technology is seeking applicants to fill two non tenure-line positions in the Faculty of Instruction or Faculty of Practice lines, at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor to teach in the expanding online Master of Science program in Construction Management at Texas State University, and the new (pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges) online PhD in Construction Management. Both programs can be completed 100% online. Applicants with expertise in all areas related to construction management are invited to apply, with particular consideration given to candidates with experience teaching in an online mode of delivery, and with research interests in construction management, construction engineering, or civil engineering. This position is remote-work eligible. The individual selected for this position will be expected to teach masters and doctoral level courses, and some undergraduate courses, as departmental needs require. Other responsibilities include service to the department and the university, industry outreach, mentoring graduate students and general academic and career advising and assistance. The selected candidate will be given the appropriate rank based on college and university standards and polices. This position is subject to the availability of funds. Required Qualifications An earned doctoral degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field An undergraduate degree in Construction Management from an ACCE or ABET accredited institution, or in Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, or a closely related field from a similarly accredited institution Experience teaching in an online environment Excellent oral and written English language skills For the rank of Associate Professor, in addition to those required above: A demonstrated record of excellent teaching abilities Faculty of Instruction: A minimum of five years of teaching experience at the university level Faculty of Practice: A minimum of five years of construction industry experience For the rank of Professor, in addition to those required above: Faculty of Instruction: A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience at the university level Faculty of Practice: A minimum of 10 years of construction industry experience A demonstrated record of leadership or significant contributions in teaching and instructional activities The successful applicant will be offered the appropriate rank and title based on the established standards of the university and the Department of Engineering Technology.
