Position summary What you'll do: Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction on member service approaches and techniques, resolving member complaints and issues according to company guidelines, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Supports the Open Door Policy and participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates. Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs and benefits to current and prospective members; processes memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourages renewals; participates in sales and marketing events; and completes required documentation.

Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, guiding and supporting members regarding self-service technology, assisting with transactions using registers or self-checkout, and ensuring club pick-up orders are filled.

Oversees assigned area by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, maintaining carts/flatbeds, and assisting members with transporting items according to policies. Maintains and completes accounting records, files transactions, and prepares daily deposits; prepares and oversees cash-related activities; investigates variances in cash drawers and accounting records; maintains confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information.

Develops and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; analyzes information from multiple sources; monitors progress and results; and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and ethics; explains, guides and demonstrates application of these standards; supports action plans and Open Door Policy; assists management with addressing ethical and compliance issues.

Leads and participates in teams by coordinating work, assessing customer needs and business priorities, and providing guidance to ensure timelines and quality; mentors others to adapt to change and new challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

6 months retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register) and 6 months customer service experience

Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

Leading a front-end team; supervising experience including hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (may depend on schedule, facility, season, or work performed). Premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
