Responsibilities Source and research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and governmental sources.
Develop grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization’s goals, objectives, and strategies to potential funders.
Author engaging and compelling content, complete and submit applications, and track potential grant funding opportunities.
Identify potential funding prospects by analyzing new donors, past contributions, and organizational focus areas.
Assist with grant billing and financial reports from government agencies and non-government funding sources.
Administer, manage, implement, access, monitor, control, and review the organization’s grants, projects, and programs.
Act as liaison with all Boys & Girls Clubs of America grant/funding opportunities.
Monitor, review, and report on assigned grant-funded programs and projects to ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, assurances, and requirements of grantor agencies.
Prepare and provide grant budgets, assist with financial and stewardship reports, and provide technical support and instruction to program staff.
Work within the Development Department to develop annual strategies and projections to fulfill funding needs.
Manage and administer all grant programs to ensure adherence and compliance with grantor rules and requirements, including any BGCA opportunities.
Schedule and manage meetings to collect program information, clarify requirements or outcomes, and develop grant proposals; work with program and financial staff to prepare budgets for grant proposals.
Manage grants calendar, track applications, communicate results of submissions, and follow up on unsuccessful proposals.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and/or Abilities Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or other relevant field is preferred.
Minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience managing grant funds from federal/local government agencies, grant writing, funding development, or project management and managing accounting functions in a non-profit, or equivalent experience with strong knowledge of government grant management principles.
Strong writing skills in English sufficient to prepare grant reports.
Skills in computing basic mathematics sufficient to prepare and verify financial and budget reports.
Comprehensive knowledge of grant/program evaluation, planning, compliance best practices, budgeting and accounting practices for non-profit organizations.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with funding databases (Altru), grant management (Grant Hub), and research (FoundationSearch) is a plus.
Strong leadership, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organization and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to interact professionally with staff, board members, volunteers, and other related agencies.
Valid Nevada driver’s license and a good driving record. Use of a personal vehicle may be required, with mileage reimbursement at standard IRS rates.

Compensation:
$52,000
annually. Eligible for full-time benefits after the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k), Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off and Employee Assistance Program. Employment with BGCSNV may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Drug testing and fingerprint-based background checks are required as conditions of employment.
