Title: Furniture Repair Technician Location: Taunton, MA Department: 3298 Shift: 1st; Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm Employment Type: Full Time Non-Exempt Proposed Salary Range: $19.95 - $24.95 Summary: Williams-Sonoma DC is seeking a Furniture Repair Technician to perform furniture repair and finishing tasks. The role is located in Taunton, MA, reporting to the Hiring Manager, with responsibilities aligned to the company’s distribution and upholstery operations. Responsibilities
Ensure complete thorough inspection of upholstery and furniture repairs including burns-ins, wood tanning and clear finish. Perform repairs to ensure quality assurance for the next day’s home deliveries. Color match on top surface and proper applications of sealers and topcoats. Polish topcoat to vendor specifications; cross grain scratches burn in and rub out. Apply finishes using spray gun; perform minor to more complex repairs to meet standards (e.g., wood repair, touch up, burn in, fill sticks). Paint and finish color-matching for wood products, using lacquers for flat to high gloss finishes. Inventory and organize shop tools and repair materials; work safely and contribute to a professional environment. Assemble/deluxe furniture and stage prior to delivery as needed. Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent At least 2 years’ experience in furniture assembly Ability to multitask and be extremely detailed in identifying errors and imperfections Preferred Qualities
Experience with painting, wood assembly, wood repair, and related craftsmanship Self-motivated; able to work independently and collaboratively Ability to work under pressure and fast learner Full-time availability; may include nights, weekends and holidays Team oriented; furniture repair skills assessment may be part of the interview Physical Requirements
Lift or carry up to 50 pounds Walk/stand for ~90% of the day Benefits
