Overview
The merchandising & stocking associate role supports Sam’s Club members by keeping shelves stocked, organized, and ready for quick, easy shopping. Responsibilities may include moving inventory, unloading trucks, fulfilling club pick-up orders, and assisting members while stocking shelves. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role that can involve seasonal or daily backroom work. The hourly wage range is $16.00 to $23.00; actual pay is based on skills and experience and may be complemented by performance-based aspects.
Responsibilities
Promptly unloading trucks Assisting fellow associates as needed throughout the store Sorting and stocking products on shelves and in the backroom Engaging with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area Ensuring club pick-up orders are filled and staged according to policy What you’ll do
Provide member service by identifying member needs, guiding self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services Maintain facility safety by conducting safety checks, forklift procedures, handling hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe conditions Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation by zoning, stocking, organizing displays, pricing, and identifying shrink Ensure product quality through rotation, dating, recalls, and sanitation standards; display promotional and seasonal merchandise Collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners to complete tasks and address improvement opportunities Support other processes such as labeling, signing, and pricing according to company policies Qualifications
