Job Summary/Description: WTOK‑TV is looking for a News Producer/ MMJ with strong news judgment who sees rundowns as a blank canvas for creativity. The ideal candidate is a compelling storyteller and team player, self‑motivated, able to develop local news sources and community contacts, and generate lead stories on a regular basis. Candidates should be excellent writers and able to shoot, edit, and post stories to digital platforms and social media.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Produce, write, and booth newscasts

Generate lead story pitches

One‑man band: shoot, write, and edit independently

Post stories to our digital platforms and social media

Qualifications/Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting, or communications is preferred, but not required

Aggressive and self‑motivated

Work independently with limited, direct supervision

Excellent writer

Team player
