Quality Systems & Food Safety Specialist Location: Boone County, KY Type: Contract-to-hire Pay: $25 - $28/hour Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $28.00/hr Our client is an industry/global leader in fragrances as well as taste. This company is looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work with one of the biggest companies in the flavor and fragrances industry! Maintain and enhance local Quality and Food Safety programs to meet global policies, regulations, and customer requirements. Manage customer complaints and work on improving performance and compliance. Oversee local Quality and Food Safety documentation, including halal, kosher, and organic programs. Lead internal audits and monthly food safety inspections. Train staff on quality and food safety practices. Handle food safety non-conformances, root cause analysis, and follow-up actions. Support customer, regulatory, and certification audits and implement improvement plans. Perform vendor audits and report findings. Drive compliance with quality notifications. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Management/Control. Experience with Quality and Food Safety Systems like ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, FDA requirements (PCQI). Lead/internal auditor experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in SAP, databases, and Microsoft Office. This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
