Overview
Oliver Wyman's Private Equity team in North America is looking to hire consultants to support its growth. The team works with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle: from opportunity identification through due diligence and post-transaction value realization. We take a multi-specialist approach to engagements, bringing teams with deep industry and functional expertise, supported by proprietary approaches and a world-class network to achieve differentiated results on deals and post-transaction value. We have completed hundreds of engagements for leading private equity firms across North America, Europe, the Middle East, China and Southeast Asia.

The Role and Responsibilities We are not typical \'management\' consultants. We provide industry- and discipline-specific knowledge and expertise, which amplifies our impact and helps us shape the future for our clients. The team is looking for experienced professionals who are already working in or are interested in focusing in Financial Services (FinTech, InsurTech etc.), serving private equity clients. Oliver Wyman is a diverse and entrepreneurial partnership of individuals who like to pursue new opportunities or build a unique franchise doing what they do best in a collegial, fun environment.
Responsibilities include working with clients to deliver targeted insights and value in engagements across private equity contexts. The ideal candidate will have most of the following:
Professional working experience with exposure to commercial and operational due diligence in a management consulting firm
Experience across or within industries within Private Equity
Knowledge and in-depth experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.)
Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
Fluent in English
An undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program
Initiative and willingness to learn new skills and apply existing ones
Creativity to generate novel ideas to solve clients\' biggest problems
Aptitude for analytical work, including working with large data sets and identifying key issues in complex challenges
Ability to work fluidly and respectfully with the team
Engagement Managers Engagement Managers are the on-scene leaders who guide projects day to day. You will lead and execute due diligence engagements and/or post-transaction engagements supporting private equity funds and portfolio companies. You will ensure findings are insightful and data-driven. The role demands thought leadership at a strategic level and mastery of technical and operational execution details. Strong communication skills and the ability to forge relationships are essential.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
