Mold Analyst - Eurofins Built Environment Testing East - Fort Mill, SC
Eurofins Built Environment Testing East, LLC is searching for a Mold Analyst in Fort Mill, SC. The Analyst performs analysis of non-culturable surface and air samples. The Analyst validates and reviews data for accuracy, and uploads laboratory data into the LIMS and reports to clients. Schedules sample workload according to due dates and sample hold times and must be knowledgeable of the job-specific laboratory testing equipment, requiring the exercise of discretion and judgment in its operation. Responsibilities
Prepares and analyzes aerobiological, environmental and water samples for the presence of fungi and asbestos. Accurately enters and reports analytical data using LIMS Performs independent data reviews for the work of other Analysts Performs analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples and other quality control samples as needed Performs confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel Performs and completes all analytical testing QA related tasks as needed Assists in pursuing, receiving and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations Maintains and updates all necessary Training and QA documents onsite as necessary Coordinates and manages projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery Follows company policies and procedures and ensures that coworkers are doing the same Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or a closely related science 2-3 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis 8 units of Microbiology courses (preferred) Requirements & Additional Information
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking) Position is full-time, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with overtime as needed Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fort Mill, SC are encouraged to apply Candidates must be willing to train offsite at one of our other labs for 2–3 weeks. Travel expenses will be paid by the company. Pay rate: $18-20/hr Benefits and corporate information:
