Overview Apex Systems is looking to hire a PC Technician for their reputable client. Location: Asheboro, NC – 100% onsite. Schedule: Mon–Friday, 40 hours weekly. Contract length: through end of 2026 with potential for extension. Pay Rate: $18-$20/hr W2.

Position This is an entry-level role as part of the Global Information Technology End-User Computing team, responsible for delivering IT services within the end-user computing environment and providing technical assistance to business users. The position is onsite in Asheboro, NC with no remote work option.

Responsibilities

End-User Computing Support: after training, build Windows-based workstations and install software; provide hardware/software support for desktop, laptop, printers, mobile devices, etc.; assist in issue resolution using the global ticketing tool; may provide PC user training; may provide white-glove support for VIPs.

IT Asset Management: manage PC/printer site assets, inventory maintenance, disposal, printer queues, and asset moves; maintain spare parts inventory; monitor data networking, server computing, and voice assets for the site.

Technology Solution Deployment & Enhancement: deploy and install physical assets, determine local staging needs, coordinate with business, and conduct testing; continuously review installed systems for stability, improvements, and policy compliance; complete project deliverables including software/app compatibility testing; stay informed of industry trends and suggest improvements.

IT Compliance & Audit: assist with global IT policies and standards; contribute to IT audits.

Required Skills And Experience

High School diploma or A+ certification

6+ months of experience working directly with end users

Knowledge of desktop end-user technologies (PCs, antivirus/malware protection, iOS, Android, Windows)

Desire to stay current with best practices and technologies and ability to learn new skills

Demonstrated ability to multi-task

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including documenting issues and resolutions

Strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused approach; ability to work collaboratively and deliver high-quality IT and non-IT outcomes

Team player with the ability to work independently in a distributed environment
