Irvine, CA / Full-time Your Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Showroom Manager, the Sous Chef will assist with mise en place for corporate training meals and culinary demonstrations, and maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchens. Professionally present to educate and inform guests on the use of Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau products. Assists with inventory/ordering of food purchasing, waste measurement and documentation, storage, preparation and service with regard to quality, quantity and safety Prepares purchasing lists, receives food delivery, reviews deliveries, labels and properly stores In collaboration with the chef and under the direction of the Showroom Manager: prepares and organizes demonstration tools and food stuffs in advance, ensuring that foods are prepared on schedule Demonstrates high level and volume of quality food production Follows the prep and task lists created by the chef; maintains a high level of food quality and efficient production output Executes culinary production within the context of Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau appliances’ value propositions Assists in creating recipes that can be given to guests and duplicated for future programs or events Professionally presents to educate and inform guests for the use of Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau products Ensures the security of all foods for proper storage Maintains sanitation guidelines; keeps a clean and orderly kitchen Fosters a positive team spirit and collaborative mindset; maintains professionalism in interactions with guests Represents BSH in a professional manner Performs daily opening and closing tasks to support showroom operations Other duties as assigned Your Profile
Associate degree (Culinary) – Preferred 0-2 years of experience (Prep cook in restaurant, corporate chef, hotel) – Required Formal culinary training or similar experience in culinary arts excellence Ability to take direction, read and follow recipes Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen; food handler card preferred Strong organizational skills and teamwork Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and time management skills Comfortable presenting basic to moderate culinary presentations to groups Strong understanding of food preparation and high-volume production Ability to work well with others; quick problem-solver with attention to detail Willingness to learn and support Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau products/brands Good judgment and discretion when handling confidential information Able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings Your Pay & Benefits
The posted pay range is based on location. Exact compensation may vary based on skillset and location. If bonus or incentive eligible, payments range from 0% to 200% of target as detailed in the plan document.
