Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Line/Sushi Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Inspect and clean food preparation and serving areas to maintain safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and fryers to ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperatures. Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients by monitoring stock levels and rotating items. Season and cook food according to established recipes. Prepare a variety of cooking methods, including baking, roasting, broiling, deep-frying, and steaming for meats, fish, and vegetables. Test and observe foods to confirm they are cooked properly. Carve and trim meats for both hot and cold service. Retrieve food items from the fridge or freezer as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a sushi chef or cook. Fine dining experience as a sushi or line cook is a plus. Excellent knife skills are highly desirable. Strong customer service skills are a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to remain on your feet and alert for extended periods. Team player with the ability to work effectively with others.
