Successful candidates will join the vibrant and interdisciplinary FINATRAX Research Group, which builds bridges between business research and information systems engineering. The group conducts research on the application and the impact of technology on organisations in the private or public sector. Our team consists of international researchers with backgrounds in technology, law, management, economics, and other fields, united by a shared commitment to advancing sustainable technologies that benefit society. The successful candidates will carry out research in the context of Prof. Fridgen’s PayPal-FNR PEARL Research Grant in the area of Information Systems Engineering, and, depending on interest, in fields such as Generative AI & Machine Learning, Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Digital Identities, Financial Technology (Fintech), Energy Informatics, Energy Economics, and Consumer & Behavioural Research. In particular, they will be integrated into a larger research team and collaborate with team members employed on different projects. Successful candidates will thus have the opportunity to investigate a broad range of research areas and design an individual research portfolio. PhD candidates will thus have the opportunity to align the skills acquired during their doctoral studies with their personal goals and interests. Your profile

Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management, Law & Technology, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Engineering, or related fields. Willingness to work in a highly interdisciplinary context using diverse research methods (e.g., dealing with both qualitative and quantitative data). Effective project management and time management skills are essential to drive initiatives and meet deadlines. A collaborative team player with a willingness to conduct interdisciplinary research and a desire to make a personal impact within our research group. The commitment to participate in the design and implementation of high-quality solutions that solve significant problems. Self-initiative, creativity, curiosity, flexibility and enthusiasm to work. The position requires English-language proficiency for both written and verbal communication. Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish is not required. We offer
