What You Will Be Doing: We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer specializing in public cloud providers, particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience. This role involves analyzing, designing, coding, testing, configuring, and modifying software projects and/or products, with a focus on services utilizing public cloud providers. You will be instrumental in ensuring system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to guarantee availability and increase efficiency. Key responsibilities include automating operations, managing and supporting cloud infrastructure, coding and scripting, and utilizing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) tool chains.
Key Responsibilities:
Working across multiple areas and integrating knowledge of the various regions into a single system—demonstrating expertise and proficiency in public/cloud environments (Windows/Linux OS, Configuration Management, Container technologies, Scripting Languages, Infrastructure As Code Development).
Adding enhancements to new/future software releases with an emphasis on scalability and resiliency.
Demonstrating strong knowledge of on‑premise and cloud‑based solutions; executing on cloud‑based configuration plans for new systems/technologies.
Independently handling/solving software/systems monitoring issues.
Providing leadership and direction regarding CI/CD and Cloud technologies.
Utilizing relevant technologies to design, develop, document, and support moderate to complex integration solutions.
Collaborating with stakeholders to test new and modified application solutions, utilizing test‑driven development where possible.
May be required to work off‑hours for project needs, support/upgrade/outage reasons, and systems implementations.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in common tools/providers such as AWS, MS Azure, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Splunk, Docker, etc.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business.
Expertise and proficiency in public/cloud environments such as Windows and Linux operating systems, Configuration Management technologies (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Cloud Provider), Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), Scripting Languages (Python, Node, PowerShell), and Infrastructure As Code Development (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Packer).
Strong working knowledge of agile software development processes and the development lifecycle.
Basic understanding of cyber security, networking and storage concepts.
Desired Skills & Experience:
AWS Certification preferred.
Experience with data engineering and analytics teams preferred.
Experience with Databricks preferred.
Self‑directed learner who keeps skills up to date with the latest technologies, including pursuit of relevant certifications.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Pay: $61.60 – $88.00 /hr.
