Overview Piper Companies is seeking a

Senior Software Developer

to join a premier software, research, and consulting firm specializing in industrial-organizational psychology. This role is part of the IT Services department and will focus on the development, maintenance, and testing of microservices built on the MEAN stack.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, test, and document high-quality software solutions.

Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to architectural decisions.

Develop software components, specifications, and design documentation.

Maintain and manage corporate software libraries.

Diagnose and resolve software defects in a timely manner.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application design and usage.

Communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Provide technical mentoring and guidance to peers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

5–7 years of experience designing and developing web-based solutions.

Strong experience with the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js).

Proficiency in developing RESTful web services.

Preferred experience with microservice-based architecture and building secure systems.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation

Compensation: $125,000 - $140,000

Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
