Position Overview Performs molecular genetics assays preliminary data analysis, and general laboratory maintenance within the Pharmacogenomics / MassArray pipeline
Responsibilities
Use molecular genetic techniques to perform laboratory procedures within the Pharmacogenomics and MassArray pipeline.
Work with Agena MassArray and 3730XL Capillary Electrophoresis instrumentation to complete laboratory assays.
Assist with reagent preparation, instrument maintenance, assay development, and troubleshooting.
Maintaining records, performing sample tracking, and creating assay plate orders.
Follow laboratory procedures and policies, including quality control and quality system activities, and documenting appropriately all records, deviations, and corrective actions as required.
Review MassArray data, making manual calls as needed, and exporting data for reporting.
Assist with training of other laboratory personnel.
Assist with other laboratory production pipelines as necessary.
Qualifications
4-year Bachelor degree or higher in a Biological Science or related field.
Previous experience in a molecular biology or clinical laboratory environment with demonstrated proficiency in laboratory techniques.
High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision.
Computer literacy of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
