Key Responsibilities GHG Project Oversight

Lead strategic initiatives to achieve PepsiCo’s Positive Agriculture goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in PFNA potato farming.

Partner with growers, sustainability professionals, and internal teams to create innovative and scalable protocols aimed at improving GHG outcomes.

Data Analytics & Reporting

Monitor and interpret GHG emissions data trends in PFNA potato production.

Create comprehensive reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners to share progress and refine future strategies.

Engage growers individually and in group settings to align on GHG reduction priorities using a data-driven approach.

Grower Engagement & Sustainable Practice Adoption

Design and launch programs to guide growers in adopting more sustainable agricultural methods that enhance GHG performance.

Drive emissions reduction and carbon removal initiatives through strategic and evidence-based approaches.

Nutrient Management Leadership

Develop and implement a 4R nutrient stewardship plan specific to PFNA potatoes.

Educate growers on efficient fertilizer practices and work with industry leaders to promote low-carbon nutrient innovations.

Budget & Program Support

Oversee budgeting for sustainability efforts within the PFNA Potato team.

Contribute to broader sustainability priorities such as:

Enhancing soil fertility and carbon sequestration

Improving watershed and biodiversity health

Supporting farmer income and livelihoods

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range : $89,000 – $149,000 (dependent on experience, education, and location).

Bonus : Annual target of 10% of base salary, performance-based.

Paid Time Off : Includes vacation, parental leave, sick leave, and bereavement.

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in fields like Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Science, or a related discipline.

4–5+ years of field experience in diverse crop systems, agricultural extension, or sustainability-focused practices.

Proven ability to work directly with farmers to implement sustainable, whole-farm solutions.

Expertise in 4R nutrient management and familiarity with innovations in low-carbon fertilizers.

Working knowledge of GHG assessment tools (e.g., Cool Farm Tool).

Strong skills in Microsoft Office; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Minitab) is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

Strong interpersonal and technical communication abilities with growers and commercial partners.

Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and drawing actionable insights from agricultural datasets.

Solid understanding of sustainable fertilizer usage and GHG emission reduction tactics.

Experience with digital data systems for field data collection and analysis.

Skilled in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Curious and well-informed about current trends and research in regenerative agriculture and potato farming systems.
