Job Summary Kutztown University of Pennsylvania seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor for its Department of Elementary, Middle Level, Library, and Technologies. The role will begin in Fall 2026 and is focused on preparing high‑quality teacher candidates for STEM, math, and science education, with a commitment to serving diverse student populations.

Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate teacher‑education courses in STEM, math, and science pedagogies and methods. Supervise teacher candidates in field placements.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate in education or an education‑related field.

Applicants who are ABD are considered if they can complete the degree by Spring 2027.

Experience teaching in higher education.

Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience in grades PreK‑8.

Valid state‑level PreK‑8 teacher certification or license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with intermediate elementary (grades 4‑5) or middle level education (grades 4‑8).

Clinical supervision or instructional coaching experience.

Evidence of effective teaching, service, leadership, and scholarship in teacher education or STEM‑focused research.

Experience with ELL students.

STEM, mathematics, or science instruction expertise.

Expertise in culturally responsive/sustaining approaches and experience with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

All materials must be received before the review, which begins on November 24, 2025. A demonstration lesson and successful interview are required. Interviews will continue until a candidate is hired.
